Built in 1992 at the Beachcraft – Conavroegh shipyard in Geldermalsen, Holland, she was designed by Tom Tholen, Hans Brod and the famous Dick Zaal. After the wooden interior was finished, she was registered and put into service in 1994. She measures 60 ft o.a. and 50 ft. over deck, beam 15 ft 4 inches, draft 7 ft 4 inches. Gross tonnage 24 mt, net tonnage 7 mt, displacement 33 mt.
She bears 5 sails : except for the foresail of 280 sqft are all others Furlex Reefsystems. Jib 538 sqft, mainsail 500 sqft and mizzen 272 sqft. There are 5 Anderson- and one Lewmar winch. Both main and mizzen mast are lattice constructions of stainless steel.
The vessel is powered by 2 Yanmar Diesel Engines, Type 4JH2E of 50 HP each on to 2 bronze propellers. Each engine has an Hitachi 12V 55Amps alternator. Additionally there is a 24V 80 Amps alternator an the port engine. A Kohler generator supplies
7 KW at 220 V from where the 12 24V Trojan batteries of 375 AH are charged. Each engine as well as the generator has its own 12 V starter battery. Furthermore an Air Marine wind generator is installed.
4 diesel tanks plus a 50 Gal. day tank can hold 650 Gal. 3 additional tanks are installed but not connected – they are used as storage space. Water is stored in one 250 Gal. tank and one 125 Gal. tank. A Tecnicomar water maker produces 40 Gal. per hour. Also there is a grey water tank of 220 Gal.
There is a wheel house and a fly bridge. In the back of the wheel house there is a table and a L-shaped sofa which makes the wheelhouse also a comfortable saloon. The vessel can fully be navigated from both the wheel house and the fly bridge. Steering is hydraulically, both manualy or by the Simrad-Robertson Austopilot. There is a Furomo GPS with RD 30 remote display and a Sitex GPS. Also there is a Furuno 16 mm Radar, Sitex VHF and Icom SSB Radio.
Main anchor is a d´Hone 110 lbs. anchor with 330 ft. 13 mm galvanized chain operated by a Maxwell 3000 windless. Secondary there is a 75 lbs. CQR anchor with 330 ft 10 mm chain operated by a manual windless. As stern anchor there is a 65 lbs. CQR anchor. No. 4 is a conventional anchor of 75 lbs. as spare anchor.
Below deck it is very roomy. A large kitchen with electric oven, 3 burner gas stove, micro wave and refrigerator. Living room with sofa – which can be converted in to a bed -, desk and many cupboards, a cabin with 2 bunk beds and a bath room with shower in the forward part of the vessel and a master bed room with double bed and private bath in the rear.
Inside a new teak floor was finished in January 2009!
